DirectConnect Reverse Mortgage Counseling Service is an exclusive, copyrighted online program management system that addresses the counseling needs of seniors. This allows HUD-approved counseling agencies and reverse mortgage lenders the tools they will require to facilitate the required reverse mortgage counseling requirement.
The DirectConnect Reverse Mortgage Counseling Service provides a one-stop solution that will unite reverse mortgage lenders, HUD-approved non-profit credit counseling agencies and seniors together in an effort to satisfy all reverse mortgage counseling and completion certificate requirements that have been set forth in the HUD protocol.
- DirectConnect provides the management tools and counseling education materials required of non-profit credit counseling agencies to facilitate the reverse mortgage counseling sessions and issue completion certificates. The system also provides reports to better allow the agency to manage their counselor's sessions, monitor the progress of their borrowers, and develop controls to ensure all borrowers receive the best service.
- DirectConnect also allows HUD approved HECM counselors to search for clients who may be calling in for their reverse mortgage counseling session; view and work with new clients that need counseling, follow up on pending clients that still need to talk to the agency and view all completed clients.
- DirectConnect provides various tools that reverse mortgage lenders will need to be able to register new clients for counseling, search for clients who may be calling in with questions about their loan, view all new clients, check the status of a client or all loan officers clients, view all completed clients per loan officer, run reports to keep everyone informed and administer the users on the DirectConnect system.
- DirectConnect also allows loan officers to search for their clients, view all their new clients, view and check the status of their pending clients, view all completed clients and run reports on their clients.
On August 9, 2006, we met with HUD in Washington D.C. to demo the DirectConnect program to see if DirectConnect was in compliance with HECM counseling policies. We are proud to say that the DirectConnect Reverse Mortgage Counseling Services online management system complies with all HUD HECM counseling policies.
